<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To estimate a magnetic pole position and an AC current high accurately in a wide speed range from a low speed region to a high speed region. <P>SOLUTION: The synchronous motor driving device comprises a first means for requesting a q-axis current estimated value based on a detected value or a preset value of DC voltage of an inverter, a DC current filter-processing the DC current, and a power equation of the inverter; and a second means for sampling the DC current based on a switching mode of the inverter to request an AC current estimate flowing in a synchronous motor and to request the q-axis current estimated value based on this AC current estimate. The first or the second means is switched in accordance with a speed of the synchronous motor, the q-axis current estimated output from the switched means is used, so as to control the magnetic pole position. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
