摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the accuracy of the positioning and speed control of an electric motor. <P>SOLUTION: A transfer error for forward and reverse rotations is measured by a controller 16 based on a difference between an output of an measuring encoder (a surveying encoder) 14 and theoretical values during the forward and reverse rotations of an electric motor 10. Each measurement result is stored in a storage portion 18, by being made to correspond to the detection outputs of the measuring encoder (the surveying encoder) 14. When the controller 16 controls the rotational speed and the position of the electric motor 10, control target values of a control encoder 12 are obtained from the output of the measuring encoder (the surveying encoder) 14 and the transfer error for forward and reverse rotations during the forward and reverse rotations of an electric motor 10.
