The door assembly has a door structure, a door inner lining (I) and mounting positions (11,12) of guide rails (1a,1b), by which the guide rails are fixed on a door structure (T). The guide rails are positioned in the door inner lining relative to assigned grooves so that the mounting position lies behind the vehicle interior. An actuating tool penetrating through the groove is accessed from the side of the door inner lining facing the vehicle interior. An independent claim is also included for a method for mounting of a door assembly.
