The embodiment of the present invention provides a method and apparatus for the symbol interleaving. The present invention generates the symbol interleaving sequence by converting the sequence S(i). The number of the sequence S(i) is corresponding to the serial number of CE. The present invention also obtains the symbol interleaving sequence with Costas sequence. The present invention can effectively reduce the number of the symbol group of one CE which is mapped to the same physical resource position by different cells and can improve the effect of the interference randomization between cells and reduce the influence of the system capability due to the interference between cells and simplify the generation of the symbol interleaving sequence.
