PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a large liquid crystal display device formed by arranging a plurality of liquid crystal display panels, in which the non-display area formed at the joint between the panels is narrowed.SOLUTION: A liquid crystal display device 10 is formed by arranging a first liquid crystal display panel 121 and a second liquid crystal display panel 122. Each of the liquid crystal display panels includes display areas (181, 182) provided to display an image and frame areas (201, 202) provided outside the display areas not to display the image. The thickness of the frame area where the first liquid crystal display panel 121 and the second liquid crystal display panel 122 are adjacent is reduced to be 1/2 or less of the entire thickness of the liquid crystal display panel.
