Provided is an image display apparatus capable of highlighting a desired area in an image with a simple operation, when the image is displayed, and displaying the area after zooming in the same. The apparatus is configured to draw a marker on the image displayed on a screen, based on a user instruction. In addition, the apparatus is configured to zoom in the image of the area including the drawn marker, when it is determined that a user commands the apparatus to zoom in the area including the drawn marker. |
