A load balancing method in a wireless local area network, and a wireless access point. The method comprises: a current wireless access point receives an association request sent by a station; the current wireless access point acquires wireless load of the current wireless access point and wireless load, capable of being detected, of other wireless access points of the station; according to the wireless load of the current wireless access point and the wireless load, capable of being detected, of other wireless access points of the station, the current wireless access point determines whether the current wireless access point satisfies a preset access condition; if yes, the current wireless access point allows access of the station; if not, the current wireless access point rejects access of the station. By using the technical solution, when wireless load of the current wireless access point is great, the station can be allocated to other wireless access points, thereby optimizing the load balancing effect in the wireless local area network. |
