PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a generator which can reduce a power loss at a thermoelectric conversion output transmitting time. SOLUTION: The generator includes a thermoelectric element 2 arranged by directing a heater 2a toward an exhaust tube 4 side and directing a cooler 2b toward a cooler 5 side, and a DC-DC converter 3 mounted integrally with the thermoelectric element 2 via the cooler 5. Thus, the thermoelectric element 2 and the DC-DC converter 3 are formed in an integrated structure, a wiring 6 for inputting the output of the thermoelectric element 2 to the DC-DC converter 3 can be thereby shortened, and the power loss can be reduced when the output of the thermoelectric element 2 is transmitted to the DC-DC converter 3 via the wiring 6.
