<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a blinking drive circuit of a light-emitting diode that can be used for a long time reliably, even if a power supply is a compact battery having a small capacity. <P>SOLUTION: The blinking drive circuit comprises the light-emitting diode 20, a capacitor 21 connected in parallel with the light-emitting diode 20, a voltage detector 22 of open-drain output for monitoring the voltage across the capacitor 21, a monostable multivibrator 23 that is triggered by the output of the voltage detector 22 and comprises a CMOS gate 23a, and a switching element 24 for controlling current supplied to the light-emitting diode 20 by the output of the monostable multivibrator 23. Lights-up time in the light-emitting diode 20 is prescribed as the output pulse width of the monostable multivibrator 23, and lights-out time is prescribed as time until the voltage across the capacitor 21 drops to the detection voltage of the voltage detector 22. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
