An improved in-between animation image generation system using vector graphics is provided to generate an in-between image by receiving key frames including objects having different attributes if attributes of the object are different from each other in each of a start frame and an end frame, thereby naturally varying attributes between key frames. An improved in-between animation image generation system comprises a format analyzer(110), an attribute collision detector(120), a transition point generator, an in-between image generator, a vector graphic memory(150), a graphic engine(160) and a display device(170). The attribute collision detector receives vector data by each frame from the format analyzer, and compares line and surface attributes by each frame. If each of the line attributes or surface attributes by two key frames are different according to two frames in the attribute collision detector, the transition point generator generates a transition point where the line or surface attribute is transited between the two key frames. The in-between image generator generates plural interpolation frames by using each vector data of the two key frames from the format analyzer. Based on the transition point inputted from the transition point generator, interpolation frames belonging to a previous reproduction time are applied with corresponding attributes of a start frame. Interpolation frames after the transition point are applied with corresponding attributes of an end frame. The in-between image generator generates an in-between image between the two key frames. |
