<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a balloon catheter capable of restricting the damage of an expansible material without increasing the thickness of a balloon part. <P>SOLUTION: The balloon catheter includes: the expansible material 1 and a mesh-like member which are to be outer layers; and the expansible material 3 which is to be an inner layer. The mesh-like member 2 has the balloon part with a multi-layer structure held between the expansible materials 1 and 3. The whole inner surface of the expansible material 1 is made to adhere onto the whole outer surface of the mesh-like member.
