<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connector capable of preventing an engaging portion of an injection mechanism from being damaged even when a card-type electronic component is inserted obliquely with respect to a card inserting/ejecting direction. <P>SOLUTION: In a housing 3 having a card accommodating portion 35 for accommodating a memory card 20, an ejection mechanism 7 for ejecting the memory card 20 from the card accommodating portion 35 is adopted. A cover 5 is mounted on the housing 4 such that the card accommodating portion 35 is covered. The ejection mechanism 7 has a locking portion 712a that is engaged with the memory card 20 such that part of the memory card 20 remains within the card accommodating portion 35 during ejection of the memory card 20.
