<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device, which is a dual view liquid crystal display device, avoiding display of overlapped images of an image observed in one side on an image observed in the other side. <P>SOLUTION: The liquid crystal device includes at least a liquid crystal display panel having pixels arranged in a matrix and a viewing field barrier disposed on an observer's side of the liquid crystal display panel. The viewing field barrier includes: a light-shielding film formed on a face in the liquid crystal panel side of the barrier, which shields each pixel comprising a first pixel group against light when the liquid crystal display panel is observed in a first direction and shields each pixel comprising a second pixel group when the panel is observed in a second direction; and a 1/4λ film formed on a face in the liquid crystal panel side of the light-shielding film. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
