<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a guiding device having a new structure further saving on wiring and improving maintenability. <P>SOLUTION: The guiding device is formed so that a fixed side coil head 34 configured by assembling a fixed side coil member 32 to a fixed side core member 26 extending in the extending direction of a rail member 12 is assembled to a rail member 12, and a moving side coil head 60 configured by assembling a moving side coil member 58 to a moving side coil member 52 having an extension dimension shorter than that of the fixed side core member 26 is assembled to a sliding member 14, and then, transmission/reception surfaces 28, 54 of the fixed side core member 26 and the moving side core member 52 are positioned opposite each other with a predetermined distance.
