The present invention relates to a method of discriminating the origins of a red ginseng extract using near infrared reflectance spectroscopy (NIRS). The method of discriminating the origin of the red ginseng extract using NIRS collects and analyzes an absorption spectrum in a specific spectral area of a commercial red ginseng extract whose origin is suspicious or difficult to determine the origins of the red ginseng extract in a speedy and accurate manner; thereby having an effect of being used effectively in determining the origin of the commercial red ginseng extract.
