The invention concerns a container (1) for storing and dosing a food powder comprising: - a tank (11), - a horizontal outlet duct (13) at the bottom of the tank, - at least one endless screw (12) positioned at the bottom of the tank (113) and configured for displacing a dose of powder in direction of the outlet duct, - a movable cover (15) configured for closing the external end (131) of the outlet duct (13), wherein: - the container comprises a rotatable longitudinal rod (14) extending along the longitudinal axis of the endless screw (12), said rod driving the rotation of the at least one endless screw so that when the rod (14) rotates in a first direction D1 the endless screw (12) rotates to displace a dose of food or beverage powder in direction of the outlet duct (13), and - a part (141) of the rotatable longitudinal rod extends through and outside the outlet duct (13), - the movable cover (15) cooperates with the part (141) of the rod extending through and outside the outlet duct so that when said rod (14) rotates in the first direction D1 rotating the endless screw (12) to displace a dose of food or beverage powder in direction of the outlet duct (13), the cover translates along the longitudinal axis of the rod and away from the external end (131) of the outlet duct simultaneously. |
