PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inclined rolling method in which generation of eccentric thickness deviation over full length of punched/rolled hollow pipe is suppressed and outer damage generated interference by a cylindrical guide and round billet is suppressed.SOLUTION: There is provided an inclined rolling method for a seamless metal pipe with an inclined rolling mill comprising: a cylindrical guide 2 supplying rolled material 1 at an entrance side; a pair of rolls 3 arranged in an opposing manner with inclination at a constant angle relative to a rolling direction; and a plug 4 arranged along with a path line so as to be arranged between the rolls 3. The cylindrical guide 2 has an internal diameter which provides (outer diameter of the rolled material×0.10) or less of clearance from the rolled material 1. The cylindrical guide 2 is arranged in a manner where rolled material discharging position of the cylindrical guide 2 is positioned at a position L within 200 mm or less at an upstream side of the path line from a position where the rolled material 1 contacts to the rolls 3.
