PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical scanner and an image formation device having the same, capable of arranging a constitution for fastening a housing to a body frame of the image formation device, without limiting an air duct of a cooling duct provided in the housing.SOLUTION: An optical scanner 4a comprises a housing, light source parts 43a and 43b, a polygon mirror and a polygon motor 51. A housing body 41a is provided with a cooling duct 63 for passing an air flow for cooling the polygon motor 51 by extending up to an end part on the opposite side of the light source parts by passing through a substantially central part from the light source part side and a fastening part for fastening a machine screw for fixing the housing on a body frame of an image formation device. The fastening part is constituted of a first fastening part 60a and a second fastening part 60b arranged so as to sandwich the light source part on the light source part side of the housing body 41a and a third fastening part 60c arranged on the opposite side of the light source part of the housing body and in a position nonoverlapping with the cooling duct 63 when viewed from the fastening direction of the machine screw.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5 |
