Provided is a solvent added to a conductor ink for forming a conducting circuit, electrode, or the like of an electronic component by a printing method, the solvent having excellent solubility of a binder resin included in the conductor ink, the solvent being capable of imparting a high initial shear viscosity and preventing the occurrence of sheet attack, and the solvent also having excellent storage stability despite evaporating/drying rapidly at low temperature. This solvent for manufacturing an electronic component by a printing method contains one or more species of compounds represented by formula (1): R1O-(A-O)3-R2. (In formula (1), R1 and R2 are the same or different, and represent a C1-5 straight-chain or branched alkyl group or a C3-5 cycloalkyl group, R1 and R2 not both representing methyl groups, and A represents an alkylene group.) |
