CONSTITUTION: A lead acid storage battery comprises: a negative electrode plate in which a negative electrode material includes an organic expander having an S element content of 3,500 μmol/g or more; and an electrolyte which is gelled, or held by a separator, or deteriorated in fluidity due to granular silica.EFFECT: In a lead acid storage battery including an electrolyte low in fluidity, lead sulfate at a lower part of a negative electrode is suppressed from being accumulated and charge/discharge cycle life is improved.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5 |
