PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a furan compound capable of proceeding a decarbonylation reaction of a furfural composition at high conversion rate and efficiently providing aimed furan compound a high selectivity and having industrial advantage.SOLUTION: There is provided a manufacturing method of a furan compound by decarbonylation reaction of a furfural composition containing a furfural compound as a raw material in a presence of a catalyst to provide the furan compound, where furfural dimer concentration in the furfural composition is 1000 wt.ppm or less and peroxide value of the furfural composition is 0.01 to 1.0 mEq/kg. There is provided a manufacturing method of a furan compound preferably with concentration of the furfural compound as the raw material of 99.00 to 99.97 w.%, concentration of a nitrogen-containing compound in the composition of 0.1 to 50 wt.ppm and further preferably 2-acetylfuran concentration of 120 to 1000 wt.ppm.SELECTED DRAWING: None
