PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable electronic device that facilitates intuitive determination and has good operability.SOLUTION: A portable electronic device 1 includes a display area having a transparent first display area and an opaque second display area. The portable electronic device 1 solves the above problem by displaying character information on the second display area. The portable electronic device 1 may be designed to display information other than characters on the first display area. The portable electronic device 1 may be designed so that information about an object which passes through the first display area can be displayed on the display area in order for the user to visually recognize the object. |
