PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method for obtaining toner particles having uniform dispersion of particles of a release agent in the toner particles without being exposed on the surfaces and having narrow and sharp distribution of the particle size in the manufacture of toner by an emulsion dispersion method. SOLUTION: A release agent and a binder resin having a carboxyl group are preliminarily finely dispersed in an organic solvent, and the preliminarily finely dispersed liquid is stabilized by a high pressure homogenizer to prepare a stabilized fine dispersion liquid of the release agent, to which a binder resin having a carboxyl group and an organic pigment are added and dispersed to prepare a colored resin solution. Then a basic compound is added to the colored resin solution, which is emulsified in an aqueous medium to produce fine particles of the colored resin solution. Then a dispersion stabilizer and an electrolyte are successively added to produce agglomerates of the fine particles, or after the organic solvent in the fine particles of the colored resin solution is removed, an electrolyte is added to produce aggregates of the fine particles, which are then melted to produce an associated product.
