A ball screw has a screw shaft, a nut, and balls running in a circulating manner along a ball rolling groove of the screw shaft and a ball rolling groove of the nut. A circulating portion ( 16 ) for balls ( 22 ) is provided on a screw shaft ( 12 ) side, and permanent magnets ( 24 ) are arranged at an inlet and an outlet of the circulating portion ( 16 ).
