<p>A stapler has, as shown in Fig. 19, a clincher guide (18) that is movable between an upper position for supporting paper sheets to be bound and a lower position for bending and shaping the legs of a staple having penetrated the paper sheets and guides a clincher (16), a slide member (19) that makes the clincher guide (18) movable between a front position and a rear position, and a link member that is extended from a driver arm so as to be engageable with the slide member (19) and moves the slide member (19) to the rear position in response to drive motion of the arm. A paper sheet mounting surface (Va) and a convex supporting surface (Vb) are provided around an opening (17) of the clincher guide (18), and the clincher (16) waits at a position projected from the mounting surface (Va) at the opening (17) of the clincher guide (18).</p> |
