<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve manufacturing yield of a GRIN lens (a Graded Index Lens) manufactured by a sol gel process, by preventing crack and phase separation of a base material and raising viscosity in drawing and further to obtain the GRIN lens of high numerical aperture. <P>SOLUTION: The GRIN lens contains silicon oxide, dopant oxide and aluminum oxide, wherein the concentration of aluminum simple substance is≥0.04 mol% based on (silicon simple substance + dopant simple substance + aluminum simple substance). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
