<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic appliance and a kensington lock for increasing security strength using radio communication with simpler configurations and at low costs. <P>SOLUTION: A user inputs an unlocking code for unlocking a Kensington lock 13 through an input device such as a keyboard 10. The input unlocking code is transmitted to the Kensington lock 13. The unlocking code transmitted from the computer 1 is received by a radio communication part 41 through an antenna 46 of a Kensington lock 13. The radio communication part 41 of the Kensignton lock 13 receives the unlocking code input by the user, and determines whether or not the received unlocking code is matched with the unlocking code stored in the storage part 44, and when it is determined that those unlocking codes are matched, a lock mechanism 45 is driven by the instruction of a control part 40 to unlock the Kensington lock 13 locked in the computer 1. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
