The present invention relates to an apparatus and a method for detecting myocardial infarction. An embodiment of the apparatus for detecting myocardial infarction comprises: an input unit configured to receive an operation signal and information from a user; a sensor unit configured to measure an electrocardiographic signal of a patient via a plurality of measuring electrodes, and sense a physical state of the patient; a storage unit configured to store the measured electrocardiographic signal and one or more electrocardiographic signal models; and a control unit configured to control operations of the input unit, the sensor unit, a filter unit, and the storage unit. The control unit selects one among the electrocardiographic signal models stored in the storage unit based on personal details of the patient inputted by the input unit, revises the selected electrocardiographic signal model with consideration for the physical state information of the patient measured by the sensor unit, measures a similarity between the revised electrocardiographic signal model and the electrocardiographic signal measured by the sensor unit, and determines that there is a problem in the heart of the patient if the similarity is smaller than a preset reference value. The revised electrocardiographic signal model is updated based on change of the physical state information of the patient. |
