Provided is a self-swelling compound composition characterized by including: 100 parts by weight of asphalt; 10-30 parts by weight of a thermoplastic elastomer; 1-30 parts by weight of an adhesion enhancer; 1-20 parts by weight of an acrylic copolymer; 5-40 parts by weight of a high water-absorbent resin; and 1-5 parts by weight of a plasticizer. A modified conventional sheet waterproofing material is constructed in close contact with a base surface while checking a molten state of a sheet surface by heating a lower surface of the sheet with heat of 1100 to 1300°C by using a torch, so plenty of problems related to flame and an exhaust gas accompanied by heating and melting asphalt occur, attachment with a base surface is not properly performed depending on skill of an operator, a defect may occur due to poor bonding of a connection area while continuous construction is available and a certain thickness of a waterproof layer may be secured, and precision work is difficult when a complex site is constructed. However, the present invention may solve the problems of the conventional modified sheet waterproofing material.
