A kneeling pad comprising an elastomeric pad 52, a cord 58 connected to the pad and retractable into a reel wherein the reel has means to allow for attachment to an item of clothing and wherein the cord 58 has a safety release mechanism from the pad 52 if a threshold tension is exceeded such that it can be replaced. The reel may be arranged to clip onto a belt and the pad 52 formed of foam. The safety release may be provided by a plug 50 which has a press fit into a socket 54 in the pad 52. A kit with a plurality of different sized pads may be provided. The device is designed for use when gardening, building or performing other tasks which require a user to rest on their knees. |
