PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To synchronize a POS system with a web site about reservations, order-placements and electronic commerce transactions.SOLUTION: A web integrated POS reservation system includes: a POS device that hosts POS applications including database layers; and a web server for hosting web site applications composed of web site database layers. The web server is configured to host accessible web sites to the public, and the web site application is configured to process data inputs in the web site in the web site database layer. The POS application is configured to communicate with the web site application so that harmonization of the POS database layer with the web site database layer is bi-directionally synchronized in realtime, using an Internet protocol. The web integrated POS reservation system is integrated with POS reservations, order-placements and electronic commerce transactions of restaurants or other merchants to provided via the web site.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
