A scribe device that, even if it has a rotation mechanism (swing mechanism), transmits vibration of a vibrator to a cutter without damping of the vibration. The scribe device has a scribe head (12) for vibrating the cutter (11) and a movement mechanism (13) for moving the scribe head (12) along the surface of a workpiece (17). The scribe head (12) has the cutter (11) capable of being in contact with the surface of the workpiece (17), the vibrator (19) for vibrating the cutter (11) in the direction crossing the surface of the workpiece (17), and a vibration transmission section (22) in intimate contact with the end, in a vibrating direction (L), of the vibrator (19) and transmitting the vibration of the vibrator (19) to the cutter (11). The vibrator (19), the vibration transmission section (22), and the cutter (11) can rotate together about an axis in parallel with the vibrating direction (L) of the vibrator (19).
