<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To regularly make a scanning position or a part immediately before (just after) on a sheet surface visible by receiving light by an optical path inclined vertically to the sheet surface. <P>SOLUTION: A drawing image input means which performs main scanning by receiving reflected scattered light from the sheet surface 2 by a one-dimensional image sensor through a lens system and performing sub-scanning by manually moving a housing 1 covering the sheet surface 2 comprises the one-dimensional image sensor installed at an upper part in the housing 1, and set so that its light receiving surface is parallel to the drawing; and the lens system constituting an optical path which is inclined to a plane vertical to the sheet surface 2 and including a sensor line directional axis, and orthogonal to the sensor line directional axis.
