A terminal and a method for providing a mail service even in case of not connecting to wireless internet are provided to display the text content of the received mail by transmitting contents of the received mail and confirm the mail even in case of not connecting to wireless internet. A controller(210) outputs server connection signal for connecting a mail server. A server connection part(220) connects the mail server and a mail list corresponding to the mail received in the mail server according to the connection signal. A mail store part(230) stores a downloaded mail list. The mail list stored in the mail store part is displayed in a display(240). The user signal for selecting one or more mails and downloading the text of the selected mail is input to the signal input part. The mail list comprises the title of the mail and the e-mail address in which the mail is transmitted. |
