<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique capable of preventing a light for illumination from being wastefully turned on. <P>SOLUTION: An imaging apparatus 1A is equipped with: a reflection type liquid crystal display part 84; the light for illumination 85 that makes the liquid crystal display part 84 bright; a photometry element 7 that detects brightness of surrounding environment; a finder part that guides a subject image passing through a photographic optical system to a finder window; an eye's contacting detection sensor 13 that detects eye's contacting to the finder window; and a light control part 124 that controls output from the light for illumination 85 in accordance with the brightness of the surrounding environment. When the eye's contacting detection sensor 13 detects eye's contacting, the light control part 124 turns off the light for illumination 85 without depending on the brightness of the surrounding environment. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
