The present invention relates to a system and method to heat a selective catalytic reduction (SCR) apparatus. The system to heat the SCR apparatus comprises: a turbocharger to send out an exhaust gas generated from an engine; a SCR apparatus installed on a rear end of the turbocharger; an air supply apparatus to supply and adjust an air supply amount in accordance with an engine load; and a heating apparatus provided between the turbocharger and the SCR apparatus, to receive the exhaust gas from the turbocharger and the air from the air supply apparatus, and to raise a temperature by heating the exhaust gas injected with the air and send them to the SCR apparatus. As such, the system is able to reduce a heat loss and a fuel consumption by preventing an excessive supply of the air while in a low loading state, when injecting the air for heating to the exhaust gas. |
