The present invention relates to a reinforced composite material and a method for manufacturing the same. The reinforced composite material contains at least one curable resin with reinforced materials. Desirably, the reinforced materials are a plurality of glass fibers having a property of the interface materially surrounded with each fiber which is processed materially equally to a bulk-cured resin. A method for processing fibers can be chosen from the group consisting of polymer coating, hydrophilic surface coating, surface coating with a free radical inhibitor, or a decrease in the total surface area of the fiber. The reinforced composite material of the present invention provides enhanced long-term mechanical properties compared to conventional glass fibers with reinforced materials. |
