PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toner that has suppressed dependency to back contrast control to prevent fogging and dependency to a transfer current to prevent a transfer residual toner.SOLUTION: There is provided a toner comprising toner particles each including a surface layer that contains an organosilicon polymer, wherein the organosilicon polymer has a partial structure represented by formula (1): R-SiO(1); inSi-NMR measurement of a tetrahydrofuran insoluble in the toner particle, the ratio of a peak area in the partial structure represented by formula (1) is 5.0% or more; in X-ray photoelectron spectroscopic analysis of the toner particle, the density dSi of silicon atoms on the surface of the toner particle is 1.0 atomic% or more and 28.6 atomic% or less; the arithmetic average roughness Ra (nm) of the toner particle is 10nm or more and 300nm or less; σRa/Ra is 0.60 or less; the average length RSm (nm) of roughness curve elements is 20nm or more and 500nm or less; and σRSm/RSm is 0.60 or less.SELECTED DRAWING: None |
