PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coil wire, enabling easy processing of the coil, capable of suppressing an eddy current while increasing a space factor, a coil including the same, having a high space factor, while suppressing an eddy current, and a compact, light-weight, high output, highly efficient rotary machine.SOLUTION: A coil wire 1 is formed into a flat wire or a square wire with a flat braid wire flatly molded by braiding one or a plurality of enamel element wires 1a.
