PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lead-acid storage battery aiming at safety of a user by preventing a tap of liquid injection port from being imprudently removed by the user, without increasing the height of a space for housing, which can be mounted on an automobile by using a commonly used stay. SOLUTION: A concave face 2 is formed on an upper face 1 of a lid of a battery case B2, a liquid injection port 3 is formed in the concave face 2, and a liquid injection cylinder 4 is extended downward from an outer periphery of the liquid injection port 3, and a tap of liquid injection port 5 is arranged in the liquid injection cylinder 4. The liquid injection port 3 is closed by housing and putting a lid plate 6 in the concave face 2 so as not to protrude upward from the upper face 1 of the lid of battery case B2, and the lid plate is fixed to the concave face 2 by welding 7 or the like.
