PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pickup feed mechanism which does not impose a load on a drive transmission mechanism such as a rack and a pinion, at all times. SOLUTION: A 1st rack 31 is extended toward a base 14 fixed to a pickup device, and a cam follower member 32 and a spring member 34 are arranged on the upper surface. The 1st rack includes a 2nd rack arranged to freely slide in the moving direction of the pickup device so as to be superposed on the 1st rack, and the 2nd rack 36 includes a cam part 39. A cam face 40 with a curved part is formed on the cam part 39, and the cam follower member 32 is fitted to this curved part and is brought into press-contact with the spring member 34, so that the 1st rack 31 and the 2nd rack 36 are thereby held at a predetermined position.
