PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the occurrence of any trouble in magnetic recording by preventing that speed variation from being caused in the transport of a magnetic recording medium when a magnetic head performs reading and writing of information for a magnetic stripe while sending out the magnetic recording medium. SOLUTION: A second transport roller 7 is arranged at an arrangement position of a magnetic head 6. A passbook 8 is transported being held between a drive roller 7a and a pinch roller 7b of the second transport roller. And A magnetic head comes into contact with a magnetic stripe 8a provided at the passbook and reading and writing of information is performed. A tip part of the passbook set out by the second transport roller is inserted between a drive roller 3a and a pinch roller 3b in a first transport roller 3 of the next stage. As the passbook is sent out strong by the second transport roller at the time, the tip part is smoothly held between the drive roller 3a and the pinch roller 3b, there is no possibility that transport speed of the passbook is varied.
