PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information acquiring method and device for quickly and precisely testing identification information by satisfactorily evading radio waves from a transmitter mounted on an adjacent vehicle at the time of testing identification information. SOLUTION: In an identification information testing mode, the receiving sensitivity of a receiver 40 in an information acquisition mode is decreased. Information transmitted from the transmitter of another adjacent vehicle is evaded from being received, and identification information transmitted from the transmitter of its own vehicle is received by a receiving device 40, and compared with identification information preliminarily stored in a memory 37 so as to be tested.
