<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shape retention method for clothes to prevent the garment distortion caused by cleaning, keep the gloss, maintain or recover the softness, suppress the deterioration and impart stainproofness, and to provide a shape retention agent for the retention method. <P>SOLUTION: A shape retention method comprises the application of a shape retention agent containing at least one kind of thermoplastic resins and at least one kind of non-aqueous solvents to a textile product, a paper product, a leather product, etc., and the heating of the product at 40-230°C, preferably at 40-210°C, more preferably at 80-200°C, and the shape retention agent is also provided. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
