PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide "an image compression device, an image compression method, an image decompression device and an image decompression method" which further reduces a processing load of decompression.SOLUTION: An image compression device comprises: a basic unit setting part 12 for setting a basic unit of compression while making single each of a plurality of color elements forming a color of a pixel of image data or while combining a plurality of color elements arbitrarily; and a compression processing part 13 for compressing a value that the set basic unit has, in accordance with encoding processing based on predetermined rules. Compression is performed without executing but by simple processing like encoding the value that the basic unit set for the plurality of color elements forming the color of each of pixels has simply based on the predetermined rules. Therefore, decompression to be performed by processing inverse to the compression is completed by simple processing and the processing load of the decompression can be reduced in relative to the prior arts.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
