PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve lighting efficiency while reducing glare.SOLUTION: A light source unit 3 includes: a long substrate 51; a plurality of light sources (LED 52) mounted on the substrate 51 along the longitudinal direction of the substrate 51; a pair of long cover bodies 6, 7 arranged so as to sandwich an optical axis of the plurality of light sources with each other in the shorter direction of the substrate 51; and a light diffusion member 8 arranged so as to face the light source between base end parts 62, 72 on the side closer to the light source of the pair of cover bodies 6, 7 and tip end parts 61, 71 on the side farther from the light source of the pair of cover bodies 6, 7.
