PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a film capacitor element which advantageously presents a self-security function and is capable of efficiently improving an energy density.SOLUTION: In the film capacitor element, a metal vapor deposition electrode 14 that is formed on a dielectric film 12 comprises a plurality of split electrode parts 24 that are separated by margin parts 20 and 22, and a fuse part 26 is provided for connecting neighboring ones among the plurality of split electrode parts 24. The margin parts 20 and 22 include: narrow margin parts 20a and 22a extending with a predetermined width; and wide margin parts 20b and 22b that are positioned at both sides of the fuse part 26. Such wide margin parts 20b and 22b are configured to become wider towards the fuse part 26 by chipping portions of the split electrode parts 24 and 24 that are positioned at both sides, such that a length (L) of the fuse part 26 becomes greater than a width direction dimension (W) of the narrow margin parts 20a and 22a.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
