PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a line tracer which can simplify mechanical and electrical structures, and prevent variation in the amount of an application agent applied to the object for application even when there is variation in the moving speed of a nozzle moving body. SOLUTION: The line tracer 1 moves a nozzle moving body 5 within an XY plane, and applies the application agent discharged from a nozzle to the object for application so as to be a line shape. The nozzle moving body 5 is movable in an oblique direction within the XY plane by the combination of movement by an X direction guide body 2X and movement by a Y direction guide body 2Y. A pair of moving amount detectors 4A, 4B are provided to both the sides in the X direction. When the nozzle moving body 5 is moved by a manual operation by an operator, the line tracer 1 decides the discharging flow rate of the application agent discharged from the nozzle utilizing the detected moving amounts detected by a pair of the moving amount detectors 4A, 4B.
