Disclosed are a method, device and system for supporting multimedia broadcast multicast service transmission. The communication system comprises: a first wireless access device and a second wireless access device, wherein the first wireless access device manages a first cell, and the second wireless access device manages a second cell, with the first cell belonging to a first MBMS single frequency network area (MA), and the second cell belonging to a second MA; and the first wireless access device and the second wireless access device acquire the same MBMS synchronization identifier, generate the same MBMS synchronization signal and broadcast the MBMS synchronization signal over the same radio resource. By using the technical solution of the embodiments of the present invention, it is more convenient in actual deployment, multiple MAs cooperatively transmitting the same MBMS synchronization signal can be realized, which can not only enlarge the coverage range of the synchronization signal, but also can save transmission resources. |
