Provided are a method and device for determining an identity identifier of a human face in a human face image, and a terminal. The method comprises: acquiring an original feature vector of a human face image; selecting k candidate vectors from a human face image database according to the original feature vector; selecting a matching vector of the original feature vector from the k candidate vectors; and according to the matching vector of the original feature vector, determining an identity identifier of the matching vector recorded in the human face image database as an identity identifier of a human face in the human face image. In the embodiments of the present invention, a low-level human face feature vector and an intermediate-level feature vector formed by the interaction of auto-correlation and cross-correlation submatrixes in a combined Bayesian probability matrix are stored in a human face image database, with the intermediate-level feature vector comprising information about the human face feature vector and the interaction of the auto-correlation and cross-correlation submatrixes in the combined Bayesian probability matrix, so that the efficiency and accuracy of human face recognition can be improved.
